Earth Day Crafts 2008
and “old stuff from around the house” our volunteers showed children how to make egg carton caterpillars, pine cone birds, pie-pan wildlife mobiles, and wallpaper wind flowers. They also had the children plant native prairie seeds to sprout at home and plant in their gardens.
About the same time as the crafts our docent, Jan Wemple, removed “Jackie” our Fox Snake from her tank for the children to handle and get acquainted with.
