Membership
The Friends of Volo Bog are always looking for new members and volunteers to share in the advancement of educational programming, along with the preservation and the restoration of the Volo Bog State Natural Area. With cut backs in staff and funding to Illinois DNR facilities, the continued support of the Friends of Volo Bog is more important than ever.
We have volunteer docents, naturalists, native prairie gardeners, bluebird monitors, etc. Our funds pay for scholarships, educational materials, help in prairie restorations, special projects and events, etc.
Benefits of being a member are many, such as checking out books from our library, 10% discount on purchases from our gift shop, receiving quarterly Bog Logs & schedules, free admission to membership-only activities, plus the pride in contributing to a good cause.
