Our Past Scholarship Recipients

aka: Where are they now

From Dena Rudloff, Lauren's Mother:

Just thought your scholarship committee might find it interesting to hear of an update on a former scholarship recipient (2017-Lauren Rudloff).

Lauren graduated from the University of Illinois in 2019 with a Bachelor Degree in Integrative Biology and worked for a year with the Illinois Natural History Survey in Champaign supervising field work on a monarch butterfly/pollinator project.

In 2020 Lauren accepted a position at Wildlife Images Rehabilitation & Education Center near Grants Pass, Oregon where she is head keeper of the resident birds of prey, and also assists in other areas of the Park (mammals & reptiles) as needed. She enjoys working with the various birds of prey, creating enrichment for the birds in their enclosures and doing educational programs for the public. (See some photos below.)

Thank you for giving her the opportunity to put your scholarship money towards her education at the U. of IL and allowing her to achieve her goal of working with and rehabilitating birds of prey.
