VOLO BOG STATE NATURAL AREA IS OPEN AGAIN!
More excellent news - the go-ahead has been granted to return to limited interpretive programming. Programs will be limited to outdoor settings, with group size limited to 8 -15 plus the leader, depending on the program. Face masks will be required when six-feet distance cannot be maintained AND reservations are required. In addition, Of Bogs & Books book discussion, our FOVB Board Meetings, and some other programs are being held via Zoom.
The Visitor Center is open Wednesday - Sunday as Staff & Volunteers are available.

Patrons are encouraged to call IDNR’s Parks administrative line Monday through Friday at 217-782-6752 with questions that pertain to other parks.

COVID-19 Protocols at your IDNR Sites

Do not enter the parks if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Follow the CDC’s and DPH guidelines.

Proper Mask wearing is REQUIRED in ALL of our buildings including outhouses, as well as outside when not able to be six feet from others not from your household. Please bring hand sanitizer.

Limited outdoor-only interpretive hikes and volunteer activities have resumed.

Group size is limited, varying with the program. Masks must be present and worn as noted above.

We reserve the right to limit the number of people using the sites based on everyone’s ability to engage safely and be mindful of these rules.
